Summary:
The Recreational Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing a Therapeutic Recreational Program. The position frequently requiring the use of independent judgment and assesses patients to determine appropriate therapeutic recreation treatment goals. Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates therapeutic recreation treatment
services
for patients with various psychiatric diagnoses through the remainder of the life span. Evaluates and documents patients' progress and participates in interdisciplinary case conferences to monitor existing treatment plan and make changes as necessary. This position plans and directs activities provided by other staff members.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Position requires a Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Eligible for National Council Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC); certification required within one year of hire, CPR required.
Qualifications:
This position is part time days, every Sat/Sun (8a-430pm). 16/hrs per week is enough to quailify for part-time benefits. Previous hands on Recreational Therapy preferred.
The base pay for this position is $15.02 per hour. If an offer is to be extended, experience related to this position is taken into consideration. An applicant with (0) experience related to this position can expect the pay to be equal to the base pay for this position.
If the position requires weekends and holidays, additional money is earned on the hour for shift differentials and Sunday and Holiday premiums.
