Experience:
oHigh School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferredoExperience in related position preferredPhysical Requirements:
oFlexible and long hours sometimes requiredoMedium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objectsoAbility to stand during entire shiftMental Requirements:
oMust be able to convey information and ideas clearlyoMust be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accuratelyoMust work well in stressful, high-pressure situationsoMust maintain composure and objectivity under pressureEssential:
oApproach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manneroMaintain regular attendance in compliance with Everwood Hospitality Service standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hoteloMaintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when workingoAlways comply with Everwood Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsoAlways maintain a warm and friendly demeanoroEmployees must always attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employeesoUnderstand operation of washing machine and dryersoLoad and unload washes according to standardsoWash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etcoSort all hotel linen according to type, color, size, etcoPre-treat all stained linen before washingoClean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trainedoOperate iron as per standard and ensure that it is shut off at the end of dayoSweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the flooroFold towels and linensoOversees department to include scheduling and staffingMarginal:
oMaintain clean work areaoAttend meetings/training as required by managementoPerform other duties as requested by management.
Recommended Skills Mopping Sanitation Linens Sweeping Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
