Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for the preparation of federal and state corporate income tax returns and the quarterly and annual tax provision.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES /
Essential Functions:
Assist in the preparation of current and deferred income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
Prepare and/or assist with the stand-alone federal and state pro-forma income tax returns.
Collect, review, analyze and process information used to prepare tax related reports and returns
Research of federal, state and local income tax issues
Prepare federal and state estimated tax payment calculations
Provide data collection and research support on federal and state income tax audits
Reconciliation of various tax accounts
Resolve tax notices through written and verbal communication with tax authorities
Support the tax department with special projects
Enforce company tax policies, practices and controls
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1 - 3
years of directly related income tax experience
CPA license and/or Master's degree preferred
Experience with tax compliance and provision software (OneSource, Corptax, etc)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Experience with SAP preferred
Must have a strong documentation and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and tax authorities in written and verbal form
Process improvement oriented
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and communicate verbally and in writing. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and printer. Work will be performed in an open office environment with cubicles.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
